Meet
Pastor, Dr. Jonathan W. Casteel ... Born in Bristol, TN I grew up in church and was surrounded by Southern Gospel Music. My grandfather "Tip" Casteel founded a family quartet called The Messengers who sang all around the East Tennessee and surrounding areas. It was a great ministry, and I am extremely thankful to God that He allowed me to be raised in such a great, loving, Christian environment. My mother and father raised my sister and I in church and I love them dearly for being such a great Christian influence in my life! Today, I live in Salisbury North Carolina with my beautiful wife (Lori) and my three awesome kids (Joy born in 2002, Zachary born in 2008, and Joseph born in 2010). God continues to bless our family week after week with His Amazing Grace, Infinite Love, and many Showers of Blessings in our lives! Even though I was raised in a wonderful Christian home, it wasn't until 2001 that I realized I wasn't saved. I had a head-knowledge all my life of Jesus Christ, but it wasn't until July 15th 2001 that I got saved through the Blood of Jesus Christ. I answered His calling in my life to preach in 2006, and ever since then I have preached the Word of God every opportunity I am blessed with. I was licensed to preach at Wiggins Road Baptist Church in Mooresville, NC in 2007 by Dr. Ben Pierce. In 2008, I was ordained into the ministry at my home church of Volunteer Baptist Church in Bristol, TN by my childhood Pastor Dr. Kenneth Jordan & current church Pastor Rev. Tony French. Also in 2008 I received a Doctorate Degree in Ministry from Andersonville Theological Seminary based out of Camilla, GA. My greatest pleasure in the ministry is to help someone come to know Jesus Christ closer than they ever knew they could. Whether I am helping someone come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior, or helping a born-again believer come to know Jesus on a more personal level; there’s no greater joy than serving God and helping others to realize HIS will for our lives. I am very thankful for what God is doing in my life and I pray that He will continue to allow me to be His servant in His ministry for many years to come. |
